On June 13, 2011 the Ohio Fastpitch Club lost a tireless leader, inspirational coach, and beloved friend. Chris Miller passed away after an all too short and sudden battle with pancreatic cancer. For the previous three years he served as co-president of the O.F.C. During the previous five years Chris was head coach of the OFC Blast team.
Many in the travel softball community knew Chris as the OFC Blast coach. Some knew him as the tournament director for Heatin’ it Up. Those in the Mason Comets softball family knew him as an unwavering booster who gave countless hours and endless support
to the program. We at OFC will always remember Chris as someone who gave even more than time and efforts toward the bettering of an organization devoted to the development of girls into young women of character. He insisted that the OFC organization unwaveringly stand for conservative values and do our part to demonstrate and instill those values in the ladies we serve.
Chris was the driving force behind much of the recent growth of the OFC organization. His vision and perseverance helped lead to the positive reputation enjoyed by the OFC in the local southwest Ohio and regional travel fast pitch communities.
The Ohio Fastpitch Club, Ohio travel ball community and the Mason Comet softball family will each be forever changed because of Chris Miller. He will be forever remembered. His legacy will live on in the hearts of every young lady touched by his efforts.
